Join us for PKN SEA vol. 69: Innovation & Digital Equity-Creative Visionaries at the Frontlines of Change. This event is presented by PechaKucha Seattle, the Amazon Catalyst Fund, and CoMotion at the University of Washington. It is taking place at the recently inaugurated UW Intellectual House.
PechaKucha is a new type of presentation format where you show 20 images for 20 seconds each. This format was devised by two architects who were aiming to create a new type of presentation with less talking and more interaction. These events are now globally viral happening in over 900 cities around the world!
This event will bring together a diverse set of extraordinary leaders working across our region to eliminate historical barriers to technology and expand access to opportunity, redefining innovation along the way.
The topic they are speaking on is digital equity. Digital equity seeks to ensure all residents and neighborhoods have the information technology capacity needed for civic and cultural participation, employment, lifelong learning, and access to essential services. Working toward digital equity involves intentional strategies and investments to reduce and eliminate historical barriers to access and technology use.
