As Managing Director of Launch : Alaska and Manager of the Launch Alaska Fund, Lance recruited and developed the first cohort for Alaska's startup accelerator. His own startups include Internet Alaska, the first Internet Service Provider in Alaska, which he sold to the local phone company, and Fort Nocs, a secure online payment system which received angel funding in Silicon Valley. He has served as CTO for an RFID startup, and as Chief Information Officer for the city of Anchorage, and IT Manager for the Alaska State Troopers. He actively supports the tech startup community in Alaska through mentorship and participation in Hackathons, Startup Weekends, and other community based activities.
