Moran Shochat-Snir

Moran Shochat-Snir is the co-founder and CEO of ClearGenetics. Clear Genetics addresses the severe shortage in access to genetic counseling, and develops tools, to provide personalized, meaningful and clear genetic information that assists physicians in referring their patients to the best available treatment.
Growing up in a family of physicians, Moran was brought up with a quest to improve patient care. As a software developer in the Israeli military’s technology unit, she was first exposed to the power of software, and developed a passion for leveraging technology to improve healthcare.
Moran decided to complete a Masters in Biomedical engineering at Tel Aviv University. While in school, she started her first company, MorNetware, which developed software to assist with the prenatal carrier screening process. Mornetware, helps over 140k patients every year, received multiple awards, and is the standard of care in Israel for family planning.
Moran then continued her education and completed an MBA at the Wharton Business School, with a major in Healthcare Management. After business school, she joined Medtronic, where she held a number of key roles, including strategic planning, portfolio prioritization and business development.
Moran lives in Marin County, with her husband and 3 boys and enjoys the beautiful weather, food and hikes of the SF Bay Area.
